Glazed Spiral Ham

This glazed ham is simple in concept but oh, what a spectacular centerpiece on your holiday table. I also like to use Dr. Pepper for even more flavor. And since it’s the holidays, I also like to add about 2 ounces of Madeira wine.

Glazed Spiral Ham

Ingredients for Serves 24 Servings

  • 1 Spiral Ham (about 5-6 pounds)
  • 12 oz
    Dr. Pepper
  • 2
    Tangerines, cut in half
  • 1/4 cup
    Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup
    Dark Brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    Red peppercorns

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Place ham in a roasting pan with tangerines.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add mustard, brown sugar & peppercorns.
  3. In a separate bowl mix, brown sugar, Dr. Pepper, and Dijon mustard.
  4. Pour cola mixture over ham. Add brown sugar rub to the top of the ham.
  5. Cover ham and bake in oven for 45 minutes. Remove from oven. Baste ham and cover again. Place back in oven for about 30 minutes. Uncover ham and cook for about 15 minutes until the glaze gets crispy. Take the ham out of the oven and let it rest 15 minutes. Serve.
